Just My Thoughts-Max Scherzer got his fifth win last night and is still undefeated for the season. His first season with the Tigers in 2010 was no small feat either, he had 12 wins and 11 loses not too bad for a bull pin guy from the Diamondbacks. Justin Verlander may still be the ace on the mound for Detroit but Max is looking more like a Cy Young candidate as the season progresses.  But we all know baseball is a marathon not a sprint so time will only tell.  Side note, Max has one blue and one green eye.

Quote Of The Day

Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off… the right pitch will come, but when it does, be prepared to run the bases.  ~Rick Maksian

On This Day In History

1904 Cy Young tosses the first perfect game in American League history defeating Rube Waddell and the Philadelphia A’s, 3-0. The Red Sox right-hander’s gem is the first perfect game thrown in the majors since the distance between the mound and plate was changed from 45 feet to 60 feet, six inches in 1893.
